Solar Panels
Solar Panels are passive generators that produce energy from sunlight.
It is a tiered system, progressing as follows:
Name | Tier | Day Gen. | Night Gen. | Storage |
---|---|---|---|---|
Basic Solar Panel | Micro | 1 E/t | - | 2 kE |
Advanced Solar Panel | Low | 4 E/t | - | 8 kE |
Industrial Solar Panel | Medium | 8 E/t | 1 E/t | 16 kE |
Ultimate Solar Panel | High | 16 E/t | 4 E/t | 32 kE |
Quantum Solar Panel 1 | Insane | 128 E/t | 16 E/t | 256 kE |
Creative Solar Panel 2 | Infinite | - | - | - |
1 The quantum panel is intended as a compact version of 8 ultimate solar panels
2 Creative Mode only - Our version of an infinite energy source
Panel States
A panel has three possible states:
- Direct sunlight: The panel is producing at its maximum rate — Sky access, day time, and sunny weather
- Reduced sunlight: The panel is producing its night-time generation rate — Night time or bad weather
- Obstructed sunlight: The panel doesn't have a direct view of the sky — A solid block is above of it
Usage Notes
- Right click a solar panel to open its GUI and view the specifications and current status
- Solar panels output energy from all sides
- Output can be controlled (on/off) using redstone
- Solar panels all output at 2048 E/t, and will likely be limited by the attached cable
